Walk-Ons

We are looking for tall men 6'0" (and taller) who want to row and also small athletes (under 125 pounds) to be coxswains.

  • No Experience Necessary, We Will Teach You How to Row
  • Fall Practices work around your current class schedule
  • Academically Focused
  • Dedicated Athletes

Every year we welcome many UCLA undergraduates that are interested in the intercollegiate sport of rowing, but have no prior experience. Individuals who make the team will compete in the Pac-10 Conference and may even represent UCLA at the collegiate national championships. In the 70-year history of the program, nine Bruins, several of whom learned to row in college, have gone on to represent their country on the U.S. Olympic or National Team.

College Transfers

We encourage junior college athletes to consider UCLA as a great way of continuing their academic and athletic careers.

Junior college athletes interested in transferring to UCLA must submit the UC Application for Undergraduate Admission and Scholarships along with the required application fee, during one of the regular filing periods.

IF YOU ARE A FOUR-YEAR COLLEGE TRANSFER READ THIS:
Those interested in transferring from a four year institution must first obtain and fax to us (310-305-1587) a release from your current institution before we can speak to you by phone or e-mail.
