Practices are held in the morning so avoid classes before 9am. If you need an early morning class, schedule them on Tuesday and Thursday.

Varsity Men Travel to PCRC and PAC-10
The varsity men have traveled to Sacramento to race at the PCRC and Pac-10 regattas. The pair, Jackson Marsteller and Hector Chaidez will be racing today at 8:00. After a 2nd place win at the WIRA Championships they are eager to see what they do once again in Sacramento.
The Varsity 8 will be racing on Sunday at 11:30 in lane 5. The complete schedule for the PAC-10 is at http://www.pac-10.org/portals/7/championships/rowing/Pac-10-HeatSheet.pdf. The varsity men will be racing against the best on the west with University of Washington, CAL, Stanford and Oregon State in the first 4 lanes. Good Luck Bruins!

Varsity Men Win Bronze and Silver at WIRA Championships
At the WIRA Championships this past weekend the Bruins had 3 boats make it to the grand finals. The weather at Lake Natoma in Sacramento cleared for the grand finals on Sunday, May 1st . The extreme gusts of wind that plagued the race course on Saturday for the heats and novice petite final had ended and the course was clear for the grand finals. The Novice 4 ended in fourth place missing the medal stand by .3 seconds. The Pair placed second earning a silver medal. They ended 2.2 seconds behind first place LMU and 6.4 seconds ahead of third place Sacramento State. The Varsity 8 in another seat for seat race placed third earning a place on the podium. In a photo finish they ended up .4 seconds ahead of Washington State, last year’s WIRA Champions.

3 Boats Head to the Grand Finals
The Bruins had a great day of racing at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championships. The novice 4 started the day off by winning their heat to make it to the grand finals. The varsity boat in a seat for seat race placed second in the heat earning a place in the grand final. Placing third the pair secured it's spot in the grand final as well. The novice 8 raced hard placing 3rd in their heat to race in the petite final. The petite final was a tight race with 6 seconds seperating the entire field. The noivce 8 ended up in 5th place 3 seconds behind the first place team. Good luck tomorrow in the Grand Final Bruins!

Bruins Head to WIRA Championships
The UCLA men travel to Lake Natoma, Sacramento, to race at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships (WIRA) this weekend April 30th and May 1st. The men have entered the Varsity 8, Pair, Novice 8, and Novice 4. The preliminary schedule for the event is posted on the WIRA website at www.gowira.org. Please check this website for the most current schedule.

BRUINS SWEEP TROJANS
